Lisa B was born and raised in Orlando, FL. She started dancing at Spotlight Dance Center at the age of 5 years old. Growing up, Lisa B took classes of various styles. She quickly fell in love with the art of dance and has spent many years sharing her passion of dance with everyone around her. Lisa B graduated high school in 2012, thinking that was the end of her dancing career. Little did she know what was in store for her future. Over that summer, Lisa B choreographed and performed in fashion shows for Macy’s department store. This reminded her how much dance meant to her. Lisa B changed her major in college and decided to stay in Orlando so she could continue to spread the love of dance. August 2012, Lisa B began teaching students of all ages.

Lisa B was majoring in education and continued to study different styles of dance to add more skills to her repertoire and become the best instructor she can be. Lisa B has taken years of classes in Hip Hop, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, and Ballroom. She specializes in teaching Hip Hop, Tap, and BTJ classes at the studio.

With her years at Spotlight, Lisa B has performed as part of the Company dance group that travelled around Orlando and taken part in various conventions and competitions. She has also performed for companies such as Chick Fil A, Macy’s, Harley Davidson, and ASICS, and Orlando Sentinel.

Lisa B is Spotlight’s personal jack of all trades. She ended her collegiate career with Rosen’s College of Hospitality, majoring in Hospitality Management with a minor in Event Management. Lisa B’s hospitality skills and knowledge of special events is also going to serve as a huge asset in Spotlight’s success and future endeavors as we continue to flourish.
